Selected from only the holotypic barrels of our most expressive vineyard, Rarefied Air exists to explore the diversity of variety, vintage and vinification from a single vantage point.

COLOUR
Intense purples & inky body. Almost opaque.

NOSE
An intensity of aromas rarely found; violets, roses, licorice, black cherries; damsons and wild blackberries. Also an amalgam of exotic spices including cinnamon, mace, cloves, nutmeg and cardamon.

PALATE
Almost fathomless flavours of shiraz fruit, lashings of intense wild blackberries, dark chocolate, black olives; all in all a layer upon layer of red fruits. An intricate framework of firm, finely textured tannin around a core of almost impenetrable fruit flavour, acid and tannin, in perfect balance of a lofty plain.
